Belmont starts 2010 season Belmont Shore, one of the premier women’s rugby teams in Southern California, starts practicing Feb. 2 for the 2010 spring season. Practices are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings. See Practices for times and location, or contact us for more information. See Matches for game information. The Belmont Shore Women’s Rugby Club is located in Long Beach, California. The club's rich history includes two national championships. In 2009, the team made it back to Nationals for the first time in nine years. The team, nicknamed the Landsharks, is proud to be celebrating its 36th anniversary this year. It is never too late to join the Belmont family. We are always looking for new or experienced players and community members interested in supporting women’s rugby.
